We are D66

D66 is a member party of the European Liberal Democrat and Reform party (ELDR), which brings together political parties with common liberal, democratic and reform ideals from more than 30 European Countries.

We are Marjolein de Jong and Rachid Guernaoui. We actively represent D66 in the city council of The Hague. D66 stands to uphold individual freedom, education and a strong durable economy. D66 offers a transparent outlook on Europe and the rest of the world. We believe in politics directed towards trust in people.

What we do

Currently, D66 has two council members in the municipality of The Hague. Marjolein de Jong and Rachid Guernaoui lead the opposition countering a coalition of PvdA, VVD and GroenLinks. In doing so D66 is critical yet constructive, which results in the following:

D66 improves safety and education standards in schools
- janitors at every school
- excellent schools spread throughout the city

D66 ensures start-up processes that are easier and sustainable
- clever reuse of commercial lots
- free durability-indication testing for small businesses

D66 makes city living greener, safer and more pleasant
- conductors on all trams
- primacy of bikes and electric public transportation
